Dreams Do Come True: U2 Drop New 'Songs Of Innocence' Album | U2

Waking up to a brand new U2 album sitting in your iTunes collection is a beautiful thing, so much so that you'd think that it's something only a dream could produce. Well, the band made dreams come true today by releasing their latest album, Songs of Innocence, today (September 9) during Apple's product-launch conference in Cupertino, California. Better yet? That's right. It's all free. Songs of Innocence isn't just any other U2 album, either. It's been called "very personal" by frontman Bono in a statement issued to The Rolling Stone. In celebration of the new LP, the publication had decided to go into great detail about just why that is with a track-by-track overview. You can check that out by following this link, and it's totally worth it for the extensive history lesson if you're a fan for the band. For instance, "Song For Someone" is a track about an "awkward first love that sounds like it's about Bono's wife Ali." Did I mention the album is out NOW and it's FREE for all iTunes users. If you have the application, pop it on open now and take a listen at your brand-new U2 record!
