Last month, U2 won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song in a Motion Picture and it is possible that they may take the Oscar next month as well. Not only is their song "Ordinary Love" nominated for Best Original Song, but the award winning rock band is set to take the stage at the 86th Annual Academy Awards to perform the original song. The song, which was released in November 2013, was written for the soundtrack of the biopic Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom to commemorate their late friend  and activist, Nelson Mandela. This will be the first time the band will perform the song live! It was previously announced that Idina Menzel  will also be performing the Oscar nominated song "Let It Go" from Disney's latest hit Frozen and Pharrell is set to hit the stage to perform the nominated song "Happy" from the animated film Despicable Me 2. "The Moon Song" by Karen O. from Her is also a contender for Best Original Song. It's definitely a tough choice to make! Be sure to tune in on ABC on March 2nd to catch all the winners and performers of the 86th Academy Awards! It's one of Hollywood's biggest nights and Ellen DeGeneres is hosting, so don't miss it!
