Following up on the hack that occurred to Snapchat last week in which 4.6 million user names and phone numbers were leaked online, the App has released an update for iOS and Android phones. The biggest security addition comes in the form of the “Find Friends” feature which was believed to have been where problem initially stemmed from. "Our team continues to make improvements to the Snapchat service to prevent future attempts to abuse our API," the company said in a blog post. "We are sorry for any problems this issue may have caused you and we really appreciate your patience and support." With the update, users can now access their settings to opt out of linking their phone number with their Snapchat user name. So fret no longer Snapchat users, you can safely return to sending whacky photos to your friends that you don’t have to worry about lasting longer than 10 seconds! Unless, of course, your friends know how to take a screenshot… http://www.Twitter.com/PopWrapped https://pop-wrapped.tumblr.com http://www.SoundCloud.com/PopWrapped http://www.Facebook.com/PopWrapped http://www.Instagram.com/PopWrapped http://www.Pinterest.com/PopWrapped http://www.YouTube.com/PopWrapped https://pop-wrapped.wordpress.com http://www.PopWrapped.com
