It comes as no surprise to Spice Girls fans that there has been heavy speculation about the girl power group reuniting for the 20th anniversary of the release of "Wannabe." Even members like Mel B. has suggested that the group reunite once more to celebrate the milestone with a tour.
Although fellow spice girls Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Melanie C. have voiced their full support of a reunion tour, the biggest roadblock has been Victoria Beckham turning down the idea of a reunion tour due to her fashion career and obligations to her family. This posed a major problem for a tour, with members of the group voicing the importance of having the entire group together if the idea was to become a reality.
Thankfully, it seems that the dream for Spice Girls fans has an even better chance of coming true. According to a source, Victoria has agreed to join the group for a reunion tour - but there is a catch. Rumor has it, Victoria cannot commit to an entire tour but she feels that "she at least owed it to the girls and their fans to show her support and do a couple of the London gigs."
From the successes of their three albums and a movie, Spice World, the group easily gathered a large following of fans around the world during their active years from 1994 to 2000.
There is no confirmation of dates for the tour. Hopefully before the official dates are released, the rest of the group can convince Victoria to do a couple more gigs outside of London. If not, I wouldn't be surprised if Spice Girls fans from all over the world make the trek out to London to see their favorite girl power group once more.
