Virgin Airlines Flight 0970 got a delightful treat when the Australian production of The Lion King brought out into an impromptu performance during the flight.
The cast was returning from a promo visit in Brisbane where they launched another production of the hit Disney Broadway musical. The plane ride included 8 chorus members and leading actress Buyi Zama, who plays Rafiki in the show. The cast broke out into an acapella version of the show’s anthem “Circle of Life.”
Passengers aboard seemed thrilled when the cast started to sing. They started to clap along with the cast. Some even filmed what looked to be a once in a lifetime performance!
Disney’s the Lion King is currently performing at the Minskoff Theatre in New York and is touring all around the USA.
