This morning on Twitter, social media darling (and all around Queen of The World) JK Rowling made some VERY exciting announcements that have Harry Potter fans all in a tizzy.

First she reminded the fandom that, exactly 18 years ago today, the most magical of journeys began, as Harry Potter and the Philosopher's (Sorcerer's) Stone was published in the UK.

Rowling then went on to announce that she and writer Jack Thorne are working on an ENTIRELY NEW Harry Potter story that will debut in play form in London next year. The play will be called Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, will be directed by John Tiffany and, while it will tell a new story, it will NOT be a prequel.

She also made a preemptive move and answered one of the "inevitable" questions she was sure to be asked: "Why didn't you just write another Harry Potter novel?"

It is no secret that Jo has been wooed ceaselessly since we all read "All was well" in the Deathly Hallows those many years ago. And everyone's efforts, for the most part, have been rebuked. So for her to actively jump back into the Harry Potter fold, it must be a truly spectacular endeavor.

Now my only question is: how much is it going to cost me to get to London and witness this magical bit of theater for myself?
