The upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron Blu-ray will have a number of bonus features, including a behind-the-scenes look at how Paul Bettany became The Vision.
Basically, it involved 90 minutes of makeup in which a rubber balaclava was glued to his face. Bettany then had to put on a special cooling suit. This suit had piping throughout and cold water was cycled through to prevent overheating while in costume and makeup. Bettany quipped that it was a “bit like being inside a gin and tonic”. It took him a few days to figure out how to use the suit and to work out a few bugs.

If the clips in the video above are any indication, Bettany seems to have remained in good spirits despite what must have been incredibly uncomfortable throughout filming. He’ll likely be on screen next in Captain America: Civil War, if early set rumours are any indication.
Fans can watch Avengers: Age of Ultron again on September 8 on Digital HD and 3-D. The movie will also be released as a 3-D Blu-ray combo pack, a regular Blu-ray disc, a DVD, and on-demand on October 2, 2015.
