Staff WriterThe trailer for David Fincher’s latest film, Gone Girl, has just hit the interwebs. Take note dear readers, this is a thriller for the ages. Adapted from Gillian Flynn’s best-selling novel, Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike play Nick and Amy Dunne, a young couple about to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary when Amy mysteriously disappears. What begins as a tragic loss for Nick soon becomes a dangerous situation when the media and police start to question his motives. But things are not as they seem in this story. The minute-long trailer perfectly illustrates the eerie vibe of the film, which will be undoubtedly well executed by Fincher, whose previous projects include Fight Club, The Social Network, and Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Online. Fans of Flynn’s novel may be more than satisfied with the trailer, but they can expect to be fully surprised when the film hits the big screen on October 3. Flynn told Entertainment Weekly, "There was something thrilling about taking this piece of work that I'd spent about two years painstakingly putting together with all its eight million LEGO pieces and take a hammer to it and bash it apart and reassemble it into a movie." So, that mind-blowing ending to the book? Yeah, you’ll probably experience it all over again while watching the film. Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, and Casey Wilson also star in the film. The producers include Reese Witherspoon, Bruna Papandrea, and Leslie Dixon. Haven’t read the dynamic page-turner yet? Get started now, you have six months!
