Weekend Of Double Weddings For Former Boy Meets World Cast

Susan Booth

Staff Writer

No, Topanga didn’t marry Cory’s best friend. The former stars of Boy Meets World have been busy getting married this past weekend! Danielle Fishel and Rider Strong both married their partners over the weekend. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Fishel got hitched to her boyfriend Tim Belusko this past Saturday. People Magazine reported that the ceremony took place in Los Angeles, where the bride wore a strapless lace gown designed by Enzoani. With over 200 people in attendance, the bride made her way down the aisle to the song “Forever” by Brian Culbertson. From 1993 until 2000, Danielle Fishel played Topanga, Cory’s (Ben Savage) soul mate on Boy Meets World. She will be back reprising her role in Girl Meets World. However, this time she’ll have a slightly different perspective… as the Mom. Girl Meets World is the story of the world according to the daughter she has with Cory. Fishel is also releasing a memoir entitled Normally, This Would Be Cause for Concern: Tales of Calamity and Unrelenting Awkwardness. The book will be published by Gallery Books and is set to be released in late 2014. As for Rider Strong, he got married this past Sunday to his partner Alexandra Barreto. According to People Magazine, the couple wed at a summer camp in Oregon. In a statement before the ceremony, Strong said, “I’m missing some of my Boy Meets World family.” He also stated that it was his fault having his wedding so close to Fishel’s saying, “It’s my fault, Danielle chose the date first.” Strong and Barreto have been together since meeting in 2006 on the series Pepper Dennis. Their camp themed wedding had a rope course, a talent show and games. All the guests got to enjoy a true camp experience by staying overnight in the bunks. Strong played Shawn Hunter in Boy Meets World. He apparently declined an offer to come back in Girl Meets World.
