Ty Simpkins is one busy 12-year-old. Earlier this year, Simpkins starred alongside Robert Downey Jr. in 2013’s top grossing film Iron Man 3 and just last month he reprised his role as Dalton Lambert in Insidious: Chapter 2.
But now, according to Deadline, the young actor is attached to another sequel in the works – Jurassic World. This project gives Simpkins the opportunity to work with producer Steven Spielberg once again. When Simpkins was only 3-years-old, he was cast in War of the Worlds, a film which was directed by Spielberg.
Simpkins isn’t the only actor tied to the upcoming sequel. 50/50 star Bryce Dallas Howard has also been cast in a lead role while New Girl’s Jake Johnson is still rumored to star in the film.
Pre-production has been going on for some time now, but details on the plot of the fourth film of the franchise are very scarce. Jurassic World, directed by Colin Trevorrow, is set to release in the U.S. June 2015. It’s a long ways from now, but we’ll keep you updated!
