Whoa, Wendy!

Donning a sparkling Statue of Liberty Halloween costume, TV host Wendy Williams fainted live on air Tuesday during her talk show, The Wendy Williams Show. The show cut fast to commercial right after the scary moment:

Thankfully, Williams was OK and returned to air after about six minutes. Ever the professional, Williams said, “I overheated in my costume, and I did pass out. But, you know what? I’m a champ, and I’m back!”

Following the show, a spokesperson filled in some details in a statement: “She is dehydrated and is on her way home for a good day and night of sleep. She has been examined by medical professionals and is well…She will address this on-air tomorrow. She has never missed a day of work and is looking forward on November 13 to her 1500th show.”

Williams also released her own statement later on Twitter:
