Well, Wendy has never been one to hold her tongue!!
When news broke that Zayn Malik had exited One Direction's current world tour, many wondered exactly what was going on. We were all quickly relieved when a rep stated that management signed off on Zayn heading home due to stress. Fans all over the world took to their Twitter and expressed their concern over the 22 year old and hoped he got himself into a better place.
Talk show host Wendy Williams had a different opinion
on the matter, stating:
“I feel as though if you can do five-part harmony, it’s just as easy to do four-part harmony,”
“I say kick this guy out of the group because now, that’s more money for the rest of us. We don’t have to split our money five ways.”
“I admire him for standing in his own truth, which is that being a celebrity—particularly as a young person—it’s a lot and all he wants to do is go back and live a normal life,” “I appreciate people who stand in their own truths so if this is what this guy wants, kick him out of the band.”
Many are citing the recent stress issues to the cheating rumors that are plaguing Zayn and fiance Perrie Edwards of Little Mix. Zayn himself has yet to speak openly about his decision to bow out of the remaining dates of the tour, but the boys seem to be standing behind him. During their first performance without him on Saturday, things were different. While opening each show, one member of the group always introduces the band by saying "We're One Direction".
However, with Zayn back at home and the band incomplete, the boys introduced themselves individually showing solidarity with Zayn.
What do you guys think of what Wendy Williams had to say?
