Andy Murray, who recently overcame number one seeded Novak Djokovic to take the Wimbledon victory this year, is getting ready to tackle a new industry; fashion.
It was just announced the Murray and long-time girlfriend, Kim Sears, are in talks to lead the next Burberry campaign. According to reports from the Daily Mail, Murray’s manager Simon Fuller (who also works with the Beckhams) is said to be working on the deal with the fashion giant.
Murray and Sears are clearly fans of the brand having both worn Burberry to the Champions Dinner following Murray’s victory.
The couple has also been spotted in the front row of the Burberry show (seen here with Anna Wintour) at London Fashion Week.
Fuller has previously secured a deal with the brand for Romeo Beckham, so things are already looking positive for the Wimbledon champ. Should the deal go through, Murray and Sears will join the ranks of fellow Burberry couples Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge, Eddie Redmayne and Cara Delevingne, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Sam Riley.
The deal has not yet been confirmed, but until then Andy should be basking in the glory of his recent victory before completely being overshadowed by the only other news in Britain that everyone [and I do mean everyone] will be buzzing about; the birth of a royal baby!
