Is a third Sex and the City movie possible? The HBO series centering around four women; Carrie, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, Charlotte, played by Kristin Davis, Miranda, played by Cynthia Nixon, and Samantha, played by Kim Cattrall, ran for six seasons and spawned two movies. The television series ran from 1998-2004, the first movie was released in 2008, and the second film was released in 2010.
Cast members are divided about if a third movie is a possibility and if it should happen. Kristin Davis spoke with Haute Living, and said, “I don’t think [a third film] is a pipe dream, there is a discussion.” Her former co-star, Cynthia Nixon has been quoted as saying, “I think it’s fine to let it go” which caused Davis to say, “I’m going to have a little talk with Cynthia next time I see her!”
Chris Noth, who played Mr. Big, Carrie’s love interest, compared the series to cancer in 2011, saying “There is not much for me to say about it anymore. It is hard to try and rediscover new ways for yourself to be excited about it.”
Do you want a third movie or is it time to “let it go”? Let us know in the comments!
