Supergirl Series To Crossover With Arrow And The Flash?

DC comics character Supergirl to get a television series of her own and will branch away from CW where other DC series Arrow, and The Flash co-exist.

Well this just made the DC universe slightly more interesting.

Recently it was announced that the DC comics character Supergirl would be getting a television series of her own, and would also branch away from CW where other DC series Arrow, and The Flash co-exist. Despite being produced for CBS, it was recently reported by EW that Greg Berlanti (who will have produced all three series) said a crossover between all the characters isn’t off the table.

“Later in the afternoon at his other office on the Warner Bros. lot, Berlanti meets with fellow producer Ali Adler and Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood to go over looks for their upcoming revamp of Supergirl. The show will follow 24-year-old Kara Zor-El, Superman’s cousin, and with a twist that that could melt fanboy brains, Berlanti says it’s possible this Supergirl could enter the worlds of Arrow and The Flash.”

A multiple-network crossover isn’t necessarily something you’d see everyday, but with CW being owned by CBS and Warner Brothers, there is strong chance.

It was also recently proposed that the upcoming Justice League film could leave potential for a shared universe with the DC series, so with this connection it can be assumed the Supergirl television show is included in the realm of possibilities.

Supergirl has been given a 13 episode commitment and will air in the fall on CBS.
