Willem Dafoe has revealed that he will NOT be playing Andy Warhol in upcoming Yves St Laurent film.
Dafoe has denied earlier reports that he will be playing Andy Warhol in the upcoming Yves St Laurent biopic directed by Bertrand Bonello.
The Boondock Saints and Spiderman star says that he did some voice-over work for St Laurent, but that will likely be uncredited.
“You do read false rumours about yourself online and it makes you mad, because it confuses people,” Dafoe told Esquire. “It’s not true I’m playing Andy Warhol.”
“Someone asked me to read a letter written by Warhol to use in a new film, a probably unaccredited voiceover. I like the director so I agreed. Then I read I’m playing him in a biopic. It’s kind of annoying.”
Dafoe may not be playing Warhol, but will be in the upcoming Fault In Our Stars and The Great Budapest Hotel.
As of 10:00 pm Oct 5, IMDb still listed Dafoe as being cast in the role of Andy Warhol.
