Staff Writer Universal Orlando made a big announcement today. Diagon Alley at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be open for business starting July 8th.
Cast members from the park along with Universal executives made the announcement in Orlando. Thierry Coup, Senior Vice President of Universal Creative told attendees: “Today we are reinventing the theme park experience once again with a whole new level of storytelling that will blow your mind. When our guests step into this magical wall it’s going to be incredible.”
With the addition of Diagon Alley, this area of the theme park will double in size. The two parts will be connected by the Hogwarts Express train.
Other good news came from the heads of Universal too. Universal Orlando president Bill Davis said, “We are far from finished there are many, many stories to tell and adventures to create for our guests as we move into the future.”
If fans of the wildly popular franchise want to see the parks and experience the fun, tickets for one day are $136 for adults and $130 for children.
