It’s time to fire up the invisible jet because Wonder Woman may be soaring to the big screen. Rumours are swirling about the famous heroine possibly appearing in the new Superman Vs. Batman movie. When prodded by Variety, Warner Bros.’ president of creative development and worldwide production Greg Silverman, stated that, “Wonder Woman is an amazing character. I think it’s a great opportunity both for box office success, but also to have an amazingly powerful female superhero.” Warner Bros. is eager to have the female superhero leap on to screens. Earlier this month, Waner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara told The Hollywood Reporter that “we need to get Wonder Woman on the big screen or TV.” The fierce Amazon was last seen on TV screens in 1979 when Lynda Carter donned the golden tiara. Although there is no concrete proof of a possible Wonder Woman cameo in the Zack Snyder film, the studio is still taking it into high consideration. “We are taking it all very seriously and are trying to do a plan that’s respectful to those characters and maximizes the stories as best they can. So everything that has been speculated are things that we’ve thought about,” Silverman said. Silverman then went on to address the studio’s controversial choice to cast Ben Affleck as the Batman to Henry Cavill’s Superman. “We knew what the take of the movie was, we knew what the character was going to be. We don’t take these decisions lightly. We thought about everybody — brand new people, established people. Ben is the perfect guy to play this role,” he said. Wonder Woman fans will still have to wait for a definite confirmation to her role in the film, but Snyder began filming Friday with scenes shot at a football game.
