DC took everyone by surprise with the announcement of all cinematic releases for the next 5 years. Even though Wonder Woman
was among those, things seemed to be a little off with the film-making. However, everything seems to be working perfectly fine now, as a shooting period
has been set.
Apparently, no script had been submitted for Wonder Woman when the announcement of the film took place, so things couldn’t possibly move forward. However, new sources want Gal Gadot to get on the set and start shooting this coming fall and thankfully, everything seems to be in place now. After all, it would be a disaster if things went south for the movie, now that it's been officially scheduled with a date and everything.
The first film of an intented trilogy will find Gal Gadot playing the warrior princess back in the 20’s, placed at Paradise Island. With a script penned by Pan’s Jason Fuchs, the film will be directed by Michelle MacLaren of Game Of Thrones
fame. We will first get to see DC’s new version of Wonder Woman in next year’s Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice
. Later on, she will have her respective place in the Justice League
movies as well.
is scheduled to make a cinematic debut on June 23, 2017.
