Kelsey Grammer made his appearance in the X-Men movies during The Last Stand, and appeared once again at the end of X-Men: Days of Future Past. When Grammer spoke with online source Collider, he continued to express an interest in returning to the franchise, saying “I hope to do another. I hope they find some way to come up with a new story that involves Beast in my timeline,”
According to Grammer, he also wasn’t even fully aware he would be appearing in the crossover sequel. “Actually I called Bryan. I bumped into Hugh Jackman and he said, ‘Oh you’re gonna be in another X-Men, mate!’ and I said, ‘No I’m not, I don’t know anything about it’. So I made a couple of inquiries, got a hold of the script, found out that it’s primarily dealing with the past and that timeline I don’t have a place in, but I saw that at the end there was this coda where he made an appearance.”

After the ending of Days of Future Past, the present day X-Men seem to be living happily with each other, even having revived previously dead characters. Seeing a direct sequel is probably unlikely, but who wouldn’t want a chance to see Jean Grey, Cyclops, Rouge, Storm, and the other original X-Men return to the big screen with their own film?
