Looks like the Glendale Community might have to move to the  big screen after all.

Yahoo Screen has shut down its doors for good according to Variety. The news is not surprising due to Yahoo’s previous announcement of losing $42 million on Community and the other two original series that are also hosted on the site.

“At Yahoo, we’re constantly reviewing and iterating on our products as we strive to create the best user experience. With that in mind, video content from Yahoo as well as our partners has been transitioned from Yahoo Screen to our Digital Magazine properties so users can discover complementary content in one place,” said Yahoo in an email announcing the closure of the service.

Community along with Yahoo Screen’s other two shows, Sin City Saints and Other Space,  has been moved to its TV page.

This is not the first time Community has seen signs of trouble. The show, which has been highly-acclaimed by critics and has developed a cult following, previously aired on NBC before it was cancelled after its fifth season. Yahoo then picked up the show for its sixth season after fans started a campaign for the show to continue on with “six seasons and a movie,” a line from the show’s second season.

The sixth season was the last season in the cast’s contracts.

Along with its original shows, Yahoo Screen was also home to clips from Saturday Night Live and to the first NFL game to be broadcast almost exclusively online. Live Nation’s channel on the service has also been moved to its music section in an effort to move similar content together.

The company has not announced any layoffs in connection with the closing of the video service and current video projects are expected to continue including Katie Couric’s daily news reports.
