(Mild spoilers ahead) Back in 2011, we were introduced to Steve Rogers, a soldier who was unfit for military service. He ended up volunteering for a top secret project that turned him into a super soldier now known as Captain America. Three years later, Marvel has done it yet again with Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The sequel to The First Avenger opened April 4th 2014 and features an amazing cast, which includes Chris Evans reprising his role as Steve Rogers aka Captain America, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow, and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. As I watched this movie, I was on the edge of my seat from the very beginning of the movie. It was so action packed, and some of the events that happened during the movie I wasn’t expecting. The movie is set after the first Avengers movie (quite a few references directed towards them too) with Steve still trying to adapt to living in the modern world, leading him to find out some things about S.H.I.E.L.D, and ultimately having to fight against a soviet agent known as the Winter Soldier (Which, SPOILER ALERT,  is someone from Steve’s past). During the movie, we also get introduced to Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), who later becomes the Falcon and helps Captain America in his efforts to take down The Winter Soldier and those who have gone against S.H.I.E.L.D. The ending of the movie sets up perfectly what might happen in the highly anticipated Avengers 2: Age Of Ultron (due summer 2015), and even Captain America 3. Overall, the movie was fantastic and was better than the first Captain movie. You will get your fill of Avenger references, funny scenes, action, and suspense. Oh, and don’t forget to stay after the credits for 2 extra scenes. What are you looking forward to seeing in Captain America: The Winter Soldier? Comment below.
