You read that right! For the past six years, Treyarch and Infinity Ward have been bouncing back and forth from Zombies and Spec Ops missions, but many people were left wondering what extra mode Sledgehammer was going to be putting into their first installment of the Call of Duty series. Well, the answer is here now and it is the much-loved Zombies mode!
The new information was reportedly first leaked on Reddit with a YouTube video showing footage of a soldier asking if another soldier had been bit. This video later had images of zombie soldiers chasing a helicopter. Glen Schofield is understandable upset with this recent leak and was hoping to surprise gamers later on by introducing the new mode in a future update.
Many fans are now convinced to buy the new Call of Duty due to the inclusion of this popular mode, but this does bring up a big question. What is Treyarch going to do next year when they launch their own entry of the series? Are they going to include the zombies mode again or are they going to do something different? Will the inclusion of zombies two years in a row kill the popularity of this mode by over saturating the series? We won't know until next year, but personally I am excited for this mode to return and I am hoping that Sledgehammer will put their own creative spin on it to make it new and interesting.
