Zorro has been an iconic character over the years and since everyone and their mothers are making a comeback these days, it’s time for him to do so as well. Apparently, the vigilante will be getting to the silver screen in a reboot film titled Zorro Reborn, only it will be quite different this time around.According to new reports, Lantica Media and Sobini Films will be joining their forces in order to shoot a post-apocalyptic remake of Zorro next year. The character is expected to be all futuristic in Zorro Reborn, with the whole plot taking place in the near future anyway. However, the studios behind the project are expected to stay loyal to his mask-’n’-cape vigilante myth. Both companies are hoping to be ready to start shooting as soon as spring 2016.Cami Winikoff and David W. Higgins will serve as executive producers of Zorro Reborn, while Albert Martinez Martin, Antonio Gennari and Mark Amin will be in production duties. However, the studios are still in search of a filmmaker, so we’ll see more of how the project rolls once a name is revealed. If anything, it will be interesting to see a new take on the classic tale, especially with an all-new casting in hand. What do you think of the Zorro reboot? Leave a comment below and let us know!
