TMZ has just released a shocking audio tape during which actor Stephen Collins appears to admit to molesting multiple young girls. Collins discusses the incidents with his estranged wife, actress Faye Grant, during a therapy session in 2012. Collins was unaware that Grant was secretly taping the conversation. Grant was able to legally record the exchange because of a California law that allows taping without consent in the process of gathering evidence in cases of violent felonies, including molesting a child under the age of 14.
The victims Collins refers to range from 10 to 13 years old, and include a relative of his first wife. Collins admits to touching or exposing himself to three girls, including multiple incidents with one victim.
The NYPD is currently in possession of the tape and investigating the case.
