I’ve got to say – if you missed “An Evening With Game of Thrones” last night, then you missed out! The panel was hilarious as well as insightful, with Rob McElhenny (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) as a somewhat scatterbrained but overall entertaining moderator.

First things first – the scoop on what’s to come for the show. Not much brand new information was given, but we do know a couple of things. First of all, George R. R. Martin’s A Storm of Swords, the third in his “A Song of Ice and Fire” series, will make up seasons three and four. Although, point number two, the show has not yet been picked up for a fourth season (the executives in the audience were probably sweating bullets over that being pointed out). The third thing we learned was that, well, a lot of people die. Yeah, yeah, we know. Anyone who has read the books really knows. But as it turns out, the producers of “Game of Thrones” kill more people than Martin himself does! Evidently some characters being killed in the upcoming season are characters that do, in fact, make it through the book alive. Additionally, George R. R. Martin himself will make a cameo this season! He had initially had one in the pilot…but then 90% of it had to be reshot, and unfortunately he ended up on the cutting room floor.

Aside from those few factoids, though, there really wasn’t anything new. So if you’re here for spoilers, I hate to disappoint! However, if you’re in it for the shenanigans, you can watch the entire panel, in all its hysterical glory, right HERE. Believe me, it’s well worth a watch!

Remember, “Game of Thrones” returns to HBO on Sunday, March 31!
