22-year-old Carlesha Freeland-Gaither, the nursing assistant who was abducted in Philadelphia on Sunday, has been found in Maryland.

During a news conference Wednesday, enforcement officials revealed that Freeland-Gaither was found near Baltimore in Jessup, Maryland with her suspected kidnapper, Delven Barnes, who has since been arrested.

“It’s very special for all of us,” Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey continued. “You hope, you hope, you hope, but you don’t really know until you’re actually able to get her, and make sure she’s OK. So it’s very important that this has a happy ending.”

Barnes, 37, who is also wanted out of Charles City County for six felony warrants, was found in a parking lot with Freeland-Gather, who has reportedly suffered minor injuries.

The story had gained national attention after surveillance video of a struggling Freeland-Gaither, being grabbed and pulled by the man who pushed her into a car, was released to the public.
