Alexander Broad is just your normal Canadian college student, but after creating the twitter account,
@SochiProblems, that let’s the world about the problems at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, he is now an internet sensation.
His account uses irony and gives you a good laugh when you look at his page. The page currently has over 342,500 followers.
The best part is that the idea to start the twitter handle began when he was in a journalism class, on his twitter. He began to see stories trending on twitter about how international journalists came back to their rooms to find the door locks had been changed.
When asked if he thought his growing twitter account would achieve the popularity it has gained, he
stated:
“Never in a million years. I made it as a joke. The entire idea of this came as a joke, something to laugh at. From there on it just kind of grew. It’s sprouted into this giant thing,”
