In a rapidly developing situation, Ray Rice of the Baltimore Ravens faces some rather serious allegations, and now, some rather damning visual evidence, courtesy of TMZ Sports. The perennial Pro Bowler is very active in the Baltimore area, leading efforts for the Ray Rice Charitable Fund which helps underprivileged kids in Baltimore and his hometown in New York. Rice, 27, has been in the National Football League for six seasons, and has emerged as one of the best running backs in the league.

However, in events alleged to have taken place on February 15^th, Rice and fiancée Janay Palmer were both arrested for assaulting each other. The details remain a bit unclear at this point, but the New Jersey state police claim to have plenty of surveillance footage. In one clip released to TMZ, the video shows Rice dragging the unconscious woman out of an elevator, speaking with security about the situation, and then walking away from the scene when she woke up.

We will keep you posted as details emerge from what is sure to be a long offseason for the beleaguered running back, but we think Peter King said it best.
