That’s right, Benedict Cumberbatch is now officially engaged to his girlfriend, Sophie Hunter. And he announced it in the most adorkable way imaginable: a newspaper clipping!
The announcement, in the “Forthcoming Marriages” section of The Times reads, “Mr B.T. Cumberbatch and Miss S.I. Hunter: The engagement is announced between Benedict, son of Wanda and Timothy Cumberbatch of London, and Sophie, daughter of Katharine Hunter of Edinburgh and Charles Hunter of London.”
The Mail on Sunday also stated how the 38-year-old actor, personally flew in to Edinburgh, to ask Miss Sophie’s mother, Katherine, Sophie’s hand in marriage. *Swoons*
Sophie, the 36-year-old Oxford graduate, known for her short role in Vanity Fair and Traffic Warden, met Cumberbatch on the Burlesque Fairytales set, where she played Annabel Blythe-Smith to his Henry Clark.
