Five years after the release of his debut studio album, The Killers' Brandon Flowers has announced his sophomore effort, 'The Desired Effect'.

The Killers’ frontman, Brandon Flowers, first took a shot at going solo back in 2010, with his debut studio album, Flamingo. The great record was really appreciated by the audience and five years later, the singer has now announced a follow-up to it.

Taking to his website, Brandon Flowers shared a hand-written letter that announced his upcoming, second solo effort. The record now goes under the title The Desired Effect and is scheduled to come out on May 18, 2015. A 20-second clip was used to announce both the release date of the album and the lead single, along with the latter’s title. “Can’t Deny My Love”, the very first sample that we’ll get from the set, is scheduled to come out on March 23, 2015 and the teaser video was probably the first look at its accompanying music video.

It’s been a while since we last heard of Brandon Flowers as a solo artist. In his note, the artist did mention his work with Grammy-winning producer Ariel Rechtshaid (Sky Ferreira, HAIM). Apparently, the singer also made sure to tease some of his new music, with a promising, 30-second clip of a melody. Take a listen below.
