My hometown has apparently become the hotspot for musicians. Just two days ago Cincinnati played host to the boy band One Direction. They stopped here for some R&R before heading to Columbus for their concert.

Currently, Bruno Mars is hanging out in the Queen City and checking out all we have to offer. According to multiple eye witness reports he has been staying in the city for at least the past week.

It has also been reported that Mars rented out Northern Kentucky University’s (NKU) Bank of Kentucky Center as a practice venue for his upcoming tour; though an NKU spokesperson refused to comment on the matter.

You may be wondering how it’s possible for him to have been in Cincinnati for the past week, considering we all saw him perform on The Voice finale on Tuesday. That performance was allegedly recorded last month.

Batsakes, downtown’s longstanding hat shop, has informed Fox 19 news that Mars and his entourage came into the shop and purchased three hats. Batsakes employees said that Mars and his people could not have been nicer.

“They were very nice, and whatever the price was for the hats, they paid for it,” Gus Miller, a Batsakes employee, stated.

Mars was even gracious enough to leave behind a memento before leaving with his purchases.

“Before he left, I asked him to give me his autograph, and he gave it to me,” said Afrodite Rigas, another Batsakes employee.

Fox 19 News asks that anyone who spots Mars in the tri-state email a photo to pix@fox19.com.
