Having children and enjoying a quiet meal at a restaurant are nearly impossible due to pull of simultaneously for fear of outbursts and fits. Since this is the case, a Calgary, Alberta restaurant is actually rewarding parents with well-behaved children.
A photo of receipt from the Japanese Restaurant called Carino Bistro was posted on Reddit over the weekend. The receipt was from a family with a toddler and it included a five-dollar discount for their ‘well-behaved kids.’
Toshi Karino, owner of the restaurant, was very shocked to see the photo go viral on social media.
“This is the first time we’ve ever given it out that people have noticed,” Karino said.
The owner created this idea in a way to say thanks to obedient families. Also, so that families can share a family moment instead of arguing and not be glued on their cell phones.
Karino explained that the discount is given out secretly, “We don’t say anything, we don’t let the customers know. We just say thank you when we [hand over] the bill.”

Now that everyone knows about this secret deal, it might have to change. He’s thinking of giving a discount to couples that enjoy their dinner without technology. That is, a meal without tweeting where they are or instagraming their dinner meals. Keep Up With PopWrapped On The Web!
