Captain America’s Sequel Sets to Exceed Box Office Expectations

Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens nationwide Friday April 4th. This movie reunites us with Steve Rogers as he tries to adapt to the modern world while doing what he does best fight for his country.

Variety stated: “The expected launch for the Captain America sequel would make it the largest April bow ever domestically, eclipsing Universal’s Fast Five, which bowed to $86 million-plus in 2011.”

While the sequel grossed nearly 88% higher than the first movie in countries such as Russia, Australia and China it continues to grow. Captain America 2 has even broken records by globally showing in over 668 IMax Theaters.

We should See huge numbers this weekend. While Rotten Tomatoes gave the sequel an 89% for opening night. That overcomes the first Captain America movie which only gained a 79%.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Redford and Sebastian Stan.
