Catherine Tate, most recognizable for her role as Donna Noble on Doctor Who, is set to star in the comedy alongside Laura Haddock (The Inbetweeners Movie), Natalia Tena (Game of Thrones), and Brett Goldstein, reports DigitalSpy.

The film about a postman who attains superpowers following a meteor crash is Jon Drever’s directorial debut. As if the meteor wasn’t enough, the timid man struggles with balancing his personal dating issues while trying to keep the world out of harms way. Fun fact, the film is based on one of Drever’s short film.

Other actors to be featured in the film include Ruth Sheen (Run, Fat Boy, Run) and Ricky Grover (Getting On).

Superbob isn’t the only thing Tate has on her plate. The British actress is also set to star in a remake of Everybody Loves Raymond, and David Williams’ BBC One sitcom – Big School.

Superbob is scheduled to begin production in London sometime this month.
