CHVRCHES are only one of the many acts that contributed to the soundtrack of Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 and their track, "Dead Air", is now online.

With the release of Mockingjay: Part 1 soundtrack quickly approaching, another new song from the film was shared online. This time the one making its way to the internet for our listening pleasure is CHVRCHES contribution, titled “Dead Air.”

Lorde knew what she was doing when she got them involved with the project, as the track is not only great, but also very fitting. “Dead Air” finds CHVRCHES offering an intense upbeat tune. The production is completely electronic and filled with synths, while the vocals sound processed as well. Sonically, the tune is instant! A cheerful listen indeed, despite comparing very real people to actual dead air. It’s the electro type of melancholia that you knew it would be, and it’s absolutely fine.

“Dead Air” serves as the third offering to the fans from the Mockingjay soundtrack. It comes as a follow-up to Lorde’s very own “Yellow Flicker Beat” and The Chemical Brothers’ “This Is Not A Game” with Miguel and Lorde. With the O.S.T. arriving on November 17, more tracks are probably on the way. Ariana Grande, Tove Lo and Charli XCX are only a few names included in the record’s tracklisting.

Take a listen to CHVRCHES “Dead Air” below.
