The ruling is part of a police inquest which began shortly after her death on April 7, 2014.

The inquest revealed that the long-time heroin addict had been on a methadone treatment plan for over two years, but had been discovered using heroin again by her husband two months before her death.

At the time of her death, police found significant quantities of high-potency heroin and various drug paraphernalia during a search of her home.

The 25-year-old writer and model, the daughter of musician and activist Bob Geldof, left behind two small children as well as her husband. Her mother, television host Paula Yates, also died of a heroin overdose at age 41 when Peaches was 11.

Police are now shifting focus into an investigation of who might have supplied the drugs involved in Geldof’s death.
