Stephen Collins has been let go from his role in the anticipated Ted sequel following a taped confession to child molestation.

Well, the damage is already setting in.

Following the release of an audio tape in which 7th Heaven alum Stephen Collins was heard confessing to child molestation, the 67-year-old actor has lost a huge job.

He had nabbed a role in the highly anticipated Ted 2, directed by Seth MacFarlane, but he has since been fired, according to the studio.

There is no report on exactly how big the role could have been, or if it was just a cameo. There has also been no word on whether or not his scenes had even been shot.

The film is set to open late June of 2015, and will see Mark Wahlberg return–but this time with Amanda Seyfried.
