As if taking home the first US Gold in Ice Dancing wasn’t enough…But who did it? Meryl or Charlie?

The finale of Dancing With The Stars between Candace Cameron-Bure, Meryl Davis, James Maslow, and Amy Purdy took place on May 22nd, and believe me, it was star studded!

Maslow was eliminated on Monday night, leaving the 3 ladies to dance for the coveted Mirror Ball trophy!

Cameron-Bure and her partner Mark Ballas scored a 27 out of 30 points which gave them 78 points total. Purdy and her partner Derek Hough scored a 30 out of 30, which gave them 90 finale points total. Davis and her partner Maksim Chmerkovsky scored a 30 out of 30, which gave them 89 finale points total. Cameron/Ballas placed third so it came down to Purdy/Hough and Davis/Chmerkovsky.

Congratulations to Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovsky!!!!

Maks finally won his first Mirror Ball trophy and commented, “It’s just plastic, but it means so much! And when it’s lasted a decade of running after, it means so much more, and to do it with Meryl is a dream come true. There’s a reason why it didn’t happen before. This was meant to happen with this one.”

Season 19 of Dancing With The Stars returns in September!
