Rumors have been swirling in recent weeks about just what is going on with Lamar Odom. Concern about the well-being of the NBA superstar began toward the end of last month. It was reported by TMZ that he had gone missing, and there was speculation that drugs were involved. The rumors were quickly denied, but Odom landed himself in more trouble just last week.

The two-time NBA champ was pulled over for allegedly “driving erratically.” He was taken into custody for driving under the influence after refusing to take a sobriety test. Odom was able to post bail and was released later that same morning, although he does face a court date scheduled for September 27.
Now it seems that the athlete is allegedly seeking help. E reports that he has checked himself into rehab for drug and alcohol abuse, although a source allegedly told CeleBuzz that there is no truth to the story. Odom previously faced trouble with drugs when he violated the NBA’s strict drug policies not once but twice in the span of only months. He has, in the past, admitted to use of marijuana, citing his LA lifestyle as being the root of that problem.
A source told People that “He realized he needs help.” The alleged drug use is reported to be causing marital strife between himself and wife Khloe Kardashian. It was reported that Khloe just recently chose to “come clean” to her famous family about her husband’s issues, and the Kardashian clan has given Lamar their full support.
Regardless of whether or not Odom has chosen to seek help, we hope things start looking up for him soon.
