With her debut EP Dreams Are Easy due out later this year and having earned herself a steadily growing fan-base, Popwrapped are delighted to premiere the video for BYRN’s latest single “Electrify.”
Four years after moving to New York to fulfil her ambition of making it in the music world, BYRN has since gone on to work with acclaimed producer Danny McBride with whom she has teamed up to produce an array of sexy, fun, electro-pop pieces that pay homage to her many influences including Amy Winehouse and Ellie Goulding.
“Electrify” is, in comparison with many of the tracks that dominate the charts today, laid back in terms of both the instrumentation and the vocal – BYRN is not one to add unnecessary extras into her music and performances, especially when her vocal rightly deserves to take centre stage. The song is simplistic, but undeniably catchy (I dare you to try not tap your feet) and gives fans a taster of what to expect come the release of her EP in the fall.
