With a stage name as filled with tradition and energy as his music, rising hitmaker Genesee is bound to make an impression. Born and raised off Melrose Avenue, Tony Moras adopted his stage name from the nearby street where he records all of his music. Inspired by the diverse local scene the up and coming hitmaker developed a unique sound that blends elements of electronic, funk, synth, and pop genres to create a lush and cutting edge soundscape.
The Los Angeles based singer-songwriter traces his passion for music back to an earlier time, explaining that the art form became his healthiest obsession. Things have undoubtedly evolved since he started practicing with his first guitar, but the musician’s evident passion still remains.
Currently, Genesee is reaffirming his passion (both for music and a lover) with a promise on his new single “Always.” “Lips touch / head rush / I know when you feel it’s always” the rising talent vows over the soaring synth-driven production. The heartfelt track is a romantic and invigorating ode to the eternal power of love.
Describing the track as romantic but “chill” (an exciting and novel new play on Netflix N’ Chill perhaps?), Genesee captured that aesthetic in the accompanying lyric video. Rainbow-tinged geometric designs set the scene and unveil a dreamy landscape complete with a romantic interest staring off into the distance.
The musician himself appears in silhouette, creating an additional level of transparency to the lush forest scene in the background. It is almost as though the visual provides a glimpse into his mind, thereby revealing that his lover is indeed always by his side.

There is simply so much to love about Gensee’s “Always” lyric video. With it’s simplicity the artist manages to convey an almost youthful tribute to pure emotion. The gorgeous song becomes so much more with the addition of the beautiful visual feast, and we can’t get enough!
