Thanks to Anna Kendrick, we have gotten our very first look at the movie musical The Last Five Years starring Kendrick and Broadway alum Jeremy Jordan.
The movie musical, directed by Richard LaGravenese, is adapted from Jason Robert Brown’s musical of the same name. The Last Five Years follows the story of the relationship between writer Jamie (Jordan) and actress Kathy (Kendrick).
The story is told from alternative perspectives – James tells the story from the beginning of their relationship, and Kathy from the relationships end.
Kendrick instagramed a photo of the pair captioned, “Cathy and Jamie 4ever #LastFiveYears #DayOne.”
The Pitch Perfect actress was not the only one to tweet from set.
Jason Robert Brown tweeted “I just watched @JeremyMJordan drive 20 feet on a bicycle four times. My work is done here.” Jordan also tweeted, saying “Day one of the last five years!”
Something tells me the writers and actors of the highly anticipated movie musical are just as excited as us fans.
