“Frozen 2” Confirmed By Idina Menzel!

Frozen was the highest grossing animated movie of all time, so it’s not surprising that Disney would take Elsa and Anna out for another spin in a sequel.

Frozen 2 is “in the works!” Idina Menzel spoke to The Telegraph in an interview and was asked what she could tell us about the Frozen sequel, the Broadway show and the 6-minute short which had been produced and will screen in theaters this Holiday season, she had this to say: “That they’re all in the works!”

When The Telegraph asked if she was signed up for them all, she responded,  “Ah, yeah sure… Not the stage show – I don’t know what will happen with that – but the movie hopefully. We’ll see. I’m just going along for the ride.”

Frozen was the highest grossing animated movie of all time, so it’s not surprising that Disney would take Elsa and Anna out for another spin. While the projects have been confirmed, they are still a long way off. In October, Thomas Schumacher, President and Producer at Disney Theatrical Group, said to the Hollywood Reporter Frozen’s Broadway production was a “top priority” but there was still a lot of work to be done, “My job is to corral the writers of the movie. I’m already talking to directors, and I have a design concept, and we have to begin to fashion this idea. It doesn’t need to be fast. It needs to be great.”

We may have to wait a while before we get to see Frozen on a Broadway stage or continue with their adventures on the big screen, but you can still get your Frozen fix with Elsa and Anna on this season’s Once Upon A Time.
