Will the man who played Sirius Black and Commissioner Gordon be adding one more action-packed movie to his resume? That’s right! Gary Oldman has confirmed that he has been approached for Star Wars: Episode VII.

While everyone’s excitement for Star Wars: Episode VII is substantial, and Oldman has confirmed the approach, he has yet to give anymore tidbits of information.

“They’ve called. You know, I’m more cynical about it now. I’ll believe it when I’m on the plane home. The deal isn’t done, but yeah, they’ve inquired. I mean Planet of the Apes, Harry Potter, Batman, and Star Wars… bloody hell!”

I don’t know about you, but I would love to see him in the newest Star Wars installment. Oldman would not be the first superstar name to be added to the cast list. The newest movies, with JJ Abrams at the helm, stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Billy Dee Williams and Anthony Daniels; all Star Wars alumni are ready to return to the galaxy far, far away.

The rumor mill has been running rampant recently with the possibilities of casting. Production is set to begin in May. Who would you like to see in the re-vamp of Star Wars? The options are endless!
