Russell Crowe isn’t exactly known as the “Mr. Nice Guy” in Hollywood. But, can you imagine interviewing him?

E!’s Giuliana Rancic opened up on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live! about interviewing the actor on Wednesday March 19.

“He was so mean to me,” she said, recalling what happened on the red carpet.

“Oh hey Russell, what’s up?” She asked Crowe.

She then explained, “I had been at E! for a year, and I literally was like, ‘I’m gonna go easy because he’s pretty tough.’”

So, she asked him something simple. “’Are you excited to be here tonight? Your big movie premiere?’ And he goes, ‘I’m contractually obligated to be here. What’s your next question?’”

Rancic moved on. But, apparently that still didn’t do it for Crowe.

“Um, isn’t it wonderful seeing all the fans?”

“And he goes, ‘That’s your second question?’” Rancic told Cohen. “And he goes, ‘1,2, you’re through!’ And walked away.”

Wow…Tough crowd.

Luckily, that didn’t keep Giuliana down, and she has been able to interview countless celebrities on the red carpet, from movie to premieres to award shows.
