Thank you Geekologie for bringing us everything offbeat including this innovative bathtub both built and designed by Splinter Works dubbed “Vessel.”

The carbon fiber bathtub is supposed to sit like a hammock, mounted between two walls. Where does the water go you ask? Invisible piping? No. Water drains through a hole in the floor.

You guessed it. This tub probably is more expensive than your car, and a little less expensive than your house.

Just keep this in mind when your parents ask you what you want for your birthday.  Do you really need the new iPhone? No. You need this hammock/bathtub hybrid.

Vessel is significantly longer than a regular bathtub. At 2.7m long, more than one person could easily fit into the tub. Bathock party.

That’s the bathtub/hammock conjoined name…and yes, I have spent too much time in fandom.

Vessel is even available in custom sizes, and is designed so that it can be tripped up to 20 cm. It is offered in red, blue, pink, yellow, bronze and pure silver.

Lets get down to the real question about this tub though—how does one not fall directly through and have their bathroom walls collapse on them?
