Lady Gaga’s ARTPOP is the album that just keeps giving. In the lead up to its November 11 release, Gaga rewarded her loyal Little Monsters with regular little gifts and snippets from the album in the form of artwork, sneak peek excerpts and first listen single releases. The album cover artwork was then a work of art itself – an enormous sculpture of the “Applause” singer that then held pride of place at her album launch party. Then today the Haus of Gaga premiered a new short film based on the album online.

The 2:38 film, directed by “Applause” music video director Inez & Vinoodh, begins with an advert for the ARTPOP app with Gaga providing voiceover of her feelings and experience on the album. With the album’s title track beginning, we fade in on a visual explosion of Gaga strutting around in some eclectic outfits – some we’ve seen previously in either publicity pics for the album or actual single cover artwork – juxtaposed with scenes of her crying along with ones where she rubs dirt into her face and chest.

ARTPOP is available worldwide.
