This morning on The Wendy Williams Show, the one and only Wendy Williams herself announced that she is set to make her debut on the Great White Way in the Tony Award-winning revival of Chicago. She will join the long-running musical in the role of Cook County Jail’s “keeper of the keys”- Matron “Mama” Morton.
Now I know what you are probably thinking and I thought it to as soon as I heard this news, “one ticket to the train wreck of the century please.” But here’s the thing, I actually think this could be good. Have you ever seen Chicago on Broadway? The role of Mama Morton has to be over the top, is there anyone more over the top in daytime TV besides Wendy?
