One half of the famed duo, Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock, DJ E-Z Rock (Rodney Bryce) has passed away at the age of 46.

The news of Bryce’s passing was confirmed thanks to a spokesperson for Rob Base but no cause of death has been released.

Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock made their lasting mark on the music industry with their mega hit single and album, “It Takes Two” which was certified platinum. The track was built around a vocal sample from Lyn Collins’ 1972 hit “Think (About It)” and has popped up in pop culture time-and-again from a scene featuring Sandra Bullock in The Proposal  to the soundtrack of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Questlove from The Roots even included “It Takes Two” at #24 in his list for the ‘Top 50 Greatest Hip Hop Tracks of All Time.’
